I get asked often what books I recommend to read so I thought this would be a perfect for a blog. I will be the first to admit that I don’t often “read” the books but “listen” on Audible which I love as an option. I understand you either love the pages of a book in your hands, and I do enjoy the feel of a “real” book in my hands, but if I sit down with a book, I am fast asleep. Anyone else in the same boat? With Audio I can work and listen at the same time.
When I was teaching, I always told my students the importance of reading and how they can travel anywhere with books. And as an adult and an Entrepreneur reading opens me to new ideas, pushing me to think about new and different ways and challenge me to reach for more.
First recent read is Crash the Chatter Box by Steven Furtick
Although, this is not a new book it is a must read if you have not. Its focus is on overcoming the voices of insecurity, fear, discouragement and the negative self-talk we do to ourselves by focusing on Gods promises and goodness.
I will have to say for me it has helped me to turn around from spiraling down the negative, why me, what else could go wrong road.

Next read of course is my girl Rachel Hollis Girl Stop Apologize
Okay, maybe she is not my girl but hey I can dream of her as my BFF and hanging out. In all honesty I did go to a meet up right before she blew up and did talk with her for about 45 minutes one on one. I can say she is real and we talked about adoption and I encouraged her to continue and that God had the perfect baby for her. (This was pre-Noah)
Okay, now about the book. I was not sure if she could write a better book that Girl Wash Your Face, but let me say this book does not disappoint and will push you to reach for more. What I really like is she walks you through strategies and the how to. It is an honest written book and will leave you wanting more for your life for sure.

Onto the third must read, written by a friend of mine, Genesis Hey Krick, Unleash Your Potential
This book is not on Audible but that’s okay it is an easy read and is a work through kind of book where you write in different answers and work through unleashing your potential.

Book four is one of my all-time favorites and will expose the history nerd in me for sure. I loved it before the movie just an FYI.
Flags of Our Father by James Bradley
I don’t want to give it away to much, but it is a book all about the iconic picture of World War II and the story of the men who were in it. I warned you that it would show my nerdiness off for history.
